Die Stiftung Zukunft Berlin und ihre zivilgesellschaftliche Initiative A Soul for Europe laden gemeinsam mit der European Festivals Association und der Evangelischen Akademie zu Berlin herzlich zur Berlin Conference 2026 ein, die am 6. November im Allianz Forum in Berlin stattfindet. Unter dem Titel „Europe: The Art of Belonging“ widmet sich die diesjährige Konferenz der Frage, was unsere Gesellschaften über Institutionen und Verträge hinaus zusammenhält. In Zeiten zunehmender Polarisierung, gesellschaftlicher Entfremdung und demokratischer Unsicherheit fragen wir: Wer fühlt sich gehört und kann teilhaben? Wie kann ein gemeinsames europäisches Zugehörigkeitsgefühl entstehen? Und welche Rolle können Kunst und Kultur dabei spielen?

Seit über zwanzig Jahren bringt die Berlin Conference führende Persönlichkeiten aus Kunst und Politik aus ganz Europa im Herzen Berlins zusammen, immer rund um das symbolträchtige Datum des 9. November, um die Rolle der Kultur beim Aufbau einer demokratischen Zukunft gemeinsam zu erörtern. Auch 2026 setzen wir diese Tradition fort, in einer Zeit, in der Demokratie und sozialer Zusammenhalt vor neuen Herausforderungen stehen. Wir wollen nicht nur über Kunst reden, sondern diese auch über künstlerische Interventionen während der Konferenz erleben. Wir laden Sie herzlich zu diesem Dialog ein und freuen uns darauf, Sie im November in Berlin zu begrüßen zu dürfen!

Stiftung Zukunft Berlin and its civil society initiative A Soul for Europe, together with the European Festivals Association and the Evangelische Akademie zu Berlin, warmly invite you to the Berlin Conference 2026, taking place on 6 November at the Allianz Forum in Berlin. Under the title “Europe: The Art of Belonging”, this year’s conference explores what holds our societies together beyond institutions and treaties. At a time of growing polarisation, social alienation and democratic uncertainty, we ask: Who feels heard and able to participate? How can a shared European sense of belonging emerge? And what role can arts and culture play?

For over twenty years, the Berlin Conference has been bringing together leading figures from the worlds of art and politics from across Europe in the heart of Berlin, always around the symbolic date of November 9, to discuss the role of culture in building a democratic future. We will continue this tradition in 2026 as well, at a time when democracy and social cohesion face new challenges. We don’t just want to talk about art—we also want to experience it through artistic interventions during the conference.
